McConnell Released From Inpatient Therapy Weeks After Concussion
Following a concussion he experienced earlier this month, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell( R-Ky.) has been released home after completing inpatient physical therapy at an outpatient rehabilitation facility.
On March 8 at the Waldorf Astoria in Washington, the 81-year-old legislator fell during a private dinner hosted by the Democratic super PAC Senate Leadership Fund. McConnell was taken to the hospital after the collapse and given treatment for a small bone fracture and concussion.
On March 13, after being released from the hospital, he followed his doctor’s advice and went to a different option for acute physical treatment.
In a statement on Saturday, McConnell said,” I want to sincerely thank everyone for all the variety desires.” I’m relieved to be home after finishing acute physical rehabilitation earlier today.
It was the first announcement McConnell had made since falling.
He continued,” I’m going to take the advice of my physical therapists and spend the next few days working from home for Kentuckians and the Republican Conference. I keep in touch with both my people and my Senate associates frequently. I’m eager to visit the Senate again suddenly in woman.
McConnell, who earlier this year was named the longest-serving GOP president in the Senate, didn’t say when he would return to the room.
He had a conversation with his management team earlier this year. Sens. John Thune and John Cornyn, both of Texas, claimed to have spoken to McConnell over the telephone.
We simply checked in and touched the boots. At the time, Thune told reporters that he wanted to express his gratitude for the cooperation we’ve been having with his people.
He is chomping on the little. I can’t wait to return. Well, don’t be in a rush because we’re not doing anything here, I said. Cornyn informed the media of the face.
Grass. At the time, Thom Tillis( R – N. C. ) and Shelley Moore Capito said they had been texting McConnell and said he was doing well.
