Media Straight-Up Lies About Gina Carano’s Box Office Clout
Reporters took sides in the Gina Carano vs. Disney battle, and it didn’t take a Bernard Goldberg-like media guru to spot it.
They did it again. This time, however, it was more embarrassing.
The Mouse House fired Carano Starting at “The Mandalorian” Late 2021 for deviation from the progressive groupthink about the pandemics and trans pronouns.
Carano’s fireable offense? She played the Nazi card in the gentlest and most humanizing way. She explained conservatives through social media. under dehumanizing attacks in America.
“Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors…even by children…Because history is edited, most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views?”
That’s unlike stars who called Trump supporters Nazis or dubbed Donald Trump the next Hitler. That cruel rhetoric diminished the Third Reich’s atrocities, but no one has paid a price for it. That hateful language has never been called anti-Semetic.

Reporters hoped Carano’s career would never recover. How did we find out? They didn’t defend her free speech rights to share unpopular opinions. They also misled the public about Carano’s statements, repeating Disney’s claim that she was anti-Semitic.
Pure lies.
Carano stood strong against the Cancel Culture mob. She was rewarded by a starring (and producer credit) role in the Daily Wire western “Terror on the Prairie.” Later, she secured a supporting turn. “My Son Hunter.”
Except the corrupt press isn’t done attacking Carano. Their efforts were pathetic this time.
Richard Newby is a contributor to The Hollywood Reporter and Fangoria. Club and Vulture Tweeted the box office results “Terror on the Prairie.”
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I’ll never stop laughing at the fact that she could’ve had her own Star Wars series, toys, books, comics, apparel. She was very close. She didn’t just fumble the bag, she dumped it out, put it over her head and cut off her air supply. https://t.co/PG2yxC8WSw

Let’s put aside his attacks on a woman unfairly fired for far less offensive actions than Alec Baldwin, Jimmy Kimmel, Bette Midler and other doctrinaire liberals. Once upon a while, journalists stood up to free speech, even for controversial comments.
Those days are gone.
Newby is crowing about the film’s poor box office receipts, but the film wasn’t released theatrically in the U.S.
Zero theaters
The film stars an actor from a low budget oater. Nick Searcy Tyler FischerDaily Wire subscribers were the only ones to receive the video. Even though the video received millions of views, Daily Wire did not intend to release it theatrically.
The site’s “What Is a Woman?” Documentary was a huge social media hit and probably attracted a lot of attention. It also didn’t appear on any screen in America.
Was that a box office bomb, too, by Newby’s logic? It’s like dunking on “Turning Red,” This exclusive Disney+ deal allows you to make zero dollars in the U.S.
Newby’s resume suggests he’s a veteran entertainment reporter. He could not possibly understand the current film landscape.

Multiple Twitter users tried their best to educate him. He’s either immune to facts that don’t align with his worldview, or he didn’t bother reading his replies.
It gets worse.
The far-left A.V. Club published a story similar to Newby’s faulty “research.”
This story is full of immature ramblings. It’s like a blog post meant for Daily Kos. Even worse, it even tries to hide the truth and makes up a reason why.
Carano, whose other recent roles include playing a secret service agent in the Breitbart News-distributed Hunter Biden movie, responded to point out that it’s actually normal for a movie released on a streaming service to make no money. (It isn’t; they usually attract enough interest for even limited theatrical runs.)
The Daily Wire isn’t interested in showing its films in theaters at the moment. None of its films were released in theaters. This model was created to provide non-woke entertainment for subscribers who are looking for original entertainment and right-leaning news.
We’re then told “Terror on the Prairie’s” supposed audience, conservatives, didn’t like it via some cherry-picked online comments. The film has a lot of a healthy 84 percent “fresh” score from audiences – which are primarily Daily Wire subscribers and, therefore, conservative.
The film’s IMDB.com score proved lower, though, with a 5.3 out of 10 rating. The bulk of the complaints centered on the film’s gentle pace and extreme violence.

Few critics were brave enough to review the book. “conservative” movie like “Prairie,” which isn’t conservative in the least, gave it an 83 percent score,
Decider.com also piled onIt is, however, less juvenile. Site sniffs out truth but ignores it, and attacks Carano instead.
The conservative media company Daily Wire produced the film. It was run by Ben Shapiro and has been only released digitally. This is how Carano defends his poor profits. Despite this, Carano seems more concerned about the box office than her political views. “The genuine bag fumble is sell out journalists like you who sold out America and stopped asking questions to be liked by a fickle manipulated mob. That is what you valued and that will be your legacy.”
Surely other film sites wouldn’t make the same mistake as both Decider.com and the A.V. Club. Indiewire.com was a website that specializes exclusively in Hollywood information.
Indiewire even amplified the AV Club’s dubious messaging That was the film’s success. “woke” For right-wing audiences. The screen shot was duplicated from the A.V. Club because cherry-picking facts to fit your pre-approved narrative, Journalism 101.
It was 2022’s biggest box-office failure. “Terror on the Prairie,” The Western, produced by Ben Shapiro, starred Gina Carano. It marked Carano’s first major role since being fired from “The Mandalorian” Many viewed the series of posts on social media as anti-Semitic. Despite any star power the actress may have had on the political right, the film only made $804 during its one day theatrical run.
Pajiba is a liberal website. rode to the truth’s rescue. Site wanted to make sure the false narrative was accurate in order to smite Carano. It knew the Hollywood mechanics of play.
The tweet provoked a lot of har-har-hars at Gina Carano’s expense, and while I hate to burst everyone’s schadenfreude bubble, it’s not accurate…
The Numbers attributed the $804 number to one single screening at a theater in which admission was free. The box-office failure of Terror on the Prairie was misinformation, as there was no box office, other than in Russia and the United Arab Emirates.
The site then attacks Carano as expected, but at least it has the facts straight.
We don’t know how successful “Terror on the Prairie” It turned out to be. The Daily Wire is growing fast and the film is just one example of that upward trend. The streaming numbers have not yet been revealed.
Did it bring in the expected increase in subscribers? Or is it part of the site’s overall brand, and the content will continue to lure conservatives eager for non-woke stories?
One thing is certain. Modern journalism looks worse because journalists torture the truth in order to silence ideological enemies (half of the country).
