Mexican state governor gives update on missing Americans

The two four Americans who were kidnapped According to Reuters, two of them are still alive and one is dead.

According to Reuters Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador called Governor Americo Villareal on Tuesday morning, where he provided updates on kidnapped Americans. He stated that two of the Americans had been killed, and that they were now found.

Villareal stated that one of the survivors had been injured. However, no details were provided about the extent of the injuries. In connection to the kidnapping incident, Villareal also stated that one person was being held in detention.

“All of a sudden they (the gunmen) were in front of us,” A witness said the following, but did not want to be identified because of fear. “I entered a state of shock, nobody honked their horn, nobody moved. Everybody must have been thinking the same thing, ‘If we move they will see us, or they might shoot us. The other two they dragged across the pavement, we don’t know if they were alive or dead.”

A dramatic and intense video captures the incident. The men drag one victim into the truck’s bed. They then push the female passenger into the truck. Then they load the two other men.

Zindell, a sister from Florence in South Carolina identified one of the victims.

“This is like a bad dream you wish you could wake up from,” Zalandria brown told the Associated Press. “To see a member of your family thrown in the back of a truck and dragged, it is just unbelievable.”

Brown explained that Brown was with her brother in Mexico, along with two of his closest friends. One was going to Mexico to undergo a tummy tuck. According to Brown, her brother was reluctant to leave and had warned his friends about dangers ahead of going.

The group was crossing from Brownsville, Texas, to Matamoros in Tamaulipas. This city is rife with violence cartels.
