Mexico’s President Shares Photo Of What He Claims Is A Mystical Elf Found In The Wild

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, who is commonly referred to as AMLO, posted a photo to social media over the weekend that he claims shows what is effectively a mystical elf found living in nature.

“I share two photos of our supervision of the Mayan Train works,” The president sent a tweet in Spanish to his followers on Saturday. “One, taken by an engineer three days ago, apparently from an aluxe. Another, by Diego Prieto of a splendid pre-Hispanic sculpture in Ek Balam. Everything is mystical.”

AMLO didn’t seem to be laughing at the post on social media claiming that there was an “anonymous” “Aluxe” It was spotted. The Associated Press Noted An Aluxe, a mischievous spirit of the forest in Mayan folklore, is called a Aluxe.

AMLO shared the following photo. “Aluxe” The photo was taken in the middle of the night. It allegedly shows someone or something looking at the person who took it.

According to the report, AMLO believes in folklores that are not grounded in reality.

This tweet comes as AMLO faces large scale challenges Protests More than 100,000 Mexican citizens protested new laws that could weaken Mexico’s elections.

AMLO claims the new law will save the country millions, but opponents argue that it could make elections more rigged. AMLO will be re-elected next year.
