Michael Brown: A major scientific study confirms what we all know
Sometimes, our culture has moments of sanity that are not intentional. At such times, reality hits home, and most people don’t even notice it. But that’s exactly what happened with the announcement of the findings of a major scientific study. In a split second reality overtook ideologies as left-leaning journalists shared this study’s results without even considering its implications.
I’m referring to the news, first reported Fortune.com has many resources that, “Women are more empathetic than men, study of hundreds of thousands of people finds—at any age and in any country in the world.”
I will respond tweeted sarcastically, “A major new study has revealed that ‘women are more empathetic than men.’ This leads to two startling revelations: 1) there is such a thing as women and men. 2) there are real differences between women and men. What do you know!”
Yes. It was presupposed in the major international study which involved 300,000. They do exist and can be identified, despite attempts to deny it. “woman” (and, by extension). “man” undefinable. (Think of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s now infamous answer To the “What is a woman?” question, and see Matt Walsh’s “What Is a Woman?” documentary.)
The study would be meaningless without this presupposition. The study would be impossible to conduct. We would only have differences between humans and animals. That’s it!
Since sex and gender only reflect what we believe them to be, it is impossible to report on the differences between men and women. Instead, we could have differences among humans and the results would be. “On average, certain humans are more empathetic than other humans.”
It would be like doing a major survey comparing the health of taller people (let’s say people 6 feet tall or more) to shorter people (here, under 6 feet tall). If height could be measured and definable, it would make sense. If my height was what I perceive it to be, then so much for the study. It would be meaningless and pointless.
It’s the same with differences between the sexes. These scientific studies are useless if sex (and therefore gender) is not what I perceive. After all, if I’m a biological male who identifies as a female, then I have undermined the whole premise of the study.
Then, how did the health study’s creators craft their questions to find concrete and substantive answers?
Click on the test itselfUnder the auspices of University of Cambridge, you will be asked a series of background and questions. “What is your age?”
This reminds us of the importance of “age” It is not a matter if we perceive ourselves as younger or older than actual years. Your birth year is the best way to determine your age. It is a fact.
The second question is: “What was your biological sex assigned at birth?” What do you know?
The survey must be able to verify biological reality. To repeat, the survey lacks any meaning.
Quite tellingly, in today’s upside down culture, you can’t simply ask, “What is your sex?” Instead, ask your doctor what information was on your birth certificate at the time you were born. It is important to know your biological sex!
Nevertheless, the survey provided the following options: “Male; Female; Intersex; I prefer not to say; I do not know.” (Are you really supposed to believe some people? Do not ask What if they were born males or females? We’re not talking here about the very real biological category of Intersex, where there is potential ambiguity.)
Given the insane state of our awake society, it is not surprising that the next question is asked. “What is your gender?”
The choices here are much wider (but not necessarily!): “Female; Male; Transfemale; Transmale; Non-binary; Other; I prefer not to say; I do not know.” (Enough said. I don’t need to add any commentary here.)
The test results page is what is most remarkable. I took the test to find out how my score was.
Under, “Your Empathy score (EQ)” This is what we are told. “Most females score 6 to 16” And “Most males score 4 to 15.”
What happened to the other categories? What happened with the transfemales?
These categories are no longer relevant. They have been replaced by differences between “females” And “males,” Question 2: What was your biological sex when you were born? That’s what really matters.
You will find the explanation on the test results page. “On average, more men than women have a Type S brain type and more women than men have a Type E brain type. It is suggested that these brain types are caused by genetic and prenatal hormonal levels (2,3), as well as by environmental factors.”
Fortune.com reported that “Females, on average, score significantly higher in cognitive empathy scores than males regardless of nationality, language spoken, and age, a massive new study published on Monday in the journal PNAS found.” The 250-word version abstract The study references “females” 8 times – without qualification or equivocation.
Accordingly, David Greenberg, a psychologist and social neuroscientist at Israel’s Bar-Ilan University and lead author on the study, commented, “Our results provide some of the first evidence that the well-known phenomenon—that females are on average more empathic than males—is present in a wide range of countries across the globe. It’s only by using very large data sets that we can say this with confidence.”
Nancy, my wife, saw the CNN report in the most factual way. Both the CNN newscaster, and the doctor who was brought in to comment, seemed to forget that it’s transphobic and bigoted to talk about differences between men and women. This is the words NARL (the National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws) “We use gender neutral language when talking about pregnancy, because it is not just cis-gender women who get pregnant.” Of course. Also, men can have their periods. It’s all clear!
I wrote In 2017 (with reference “menstruating men”), “There is an all-out war on sexual difference (often referred to as ‘gender’), and if it wins the day, it will lead to societal chaos.”
This chaos is already in full swing and growing every day. For a brief moment, however, reality stepped in, and the truth was revealed by news outlets. They reported that women are on average more compassionate than men.
Women and men Do Exist, and they Are There are some differences between them.
