Michael Jordan’s shoes from 1998 Finals expected to fetch millions at auction

A A pair of Air Jordan sneakers worn during the 1998 NBA Finals by Michael Jordan are expected to fetch as high as $4 million when they go up for auction next month.

These sneakers, Nike Air Jordan 13, were worn by Jordan in Game 2 and are being sold through Sotheby’s. “Victoriam” sale starting April 3.

“Sotheby’s is pleased to announce the offering of one of the most significant items from Michael Jordan’s career and his final year with the Chicago Bulls – his 1998 NBA Finals Game 2 Air Jordan 13s from the famous ‘The Last Dance’ season,” Sotheby’s stated in a statement.

“An important relic from the height of Jordan’s career, his 1998 NBA Finals Game 2 shoes are among the most illustrious pieces of sports memorabilia to exist.”

Jordan scored 37 points during Game 2 and led the Bulls in their victory over Utah Jazz.

Jordan would win his sixth NBA title in 1998 with the Finals.
