Mike Johnson says No Rogue Rulings Act will fix ‘real abuse’ in judicial system – Washington Examiner
House Speaker mike Johnson recently highlighted the passage of the No Rogue Rulings Act, aimed at addressing alleged abuses in the judicial system by federal judges, particularly those ruling against the Trump management. The legislation, which passed the House by a narrow vote of 219-213, seeks to limit federal court rulings’ applicability to only the parties involved, contrasting with recent instances where such rulings have had broader national implications. Johnson argued that 67% of national injunctions in the past century have targeted Trump, mostly issued by judges appointed by Democrats, and he called for an end to what he views as judicial overreach. He expressed hope that some democratic senators would support the bill, which he and others believe would rein in what they describe as “activist judges.” Additionally, Johnson criticized the Democratic opposition to the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, claiming it enables illegal voting.

House Speaker Mike Johnson spotlighted the No Rogue Rulings Act that the House of Representatives passed last week, which he stated would combat the “real abuse” of federal judges ruling against the Trump administration.
The legislation passed the House by a vote of 219-213 and would make rulings by federal judges only apply to the parties directly involved in the case rather than at a national level, as seen in recent months. Johnson cited how the nation’s judicial system has been “abused” by judges working against the president’s vision for the nation, and that the statistics back up his argument.
“Remember, 67% of all national injunctions over the last 100 years have been issued against one president, his name is Donald J. Trump, and 92% of those were issued by Democrat-appointed judges to the bench,” Johnson stated on Fox News’s Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo. “We gotta stop that.”
Following the bill passing the House, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) celebrated the passage, stating that it would rein in “activist judges.”

Johnson also addressed the House’s passage of the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act, rebuking the idea from House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) for claiming the bill would not pass. The House speaker considered it “shameful” how 208 Democratic lawmakers voted against it, arguing that they voted to “allow illegal aliens to decide American elections” when casting their vote.
Going forward, Johnson expressed hope that at least seven Democratic senators will “come to their senses” and join all the Republicans in supporting the bill. The House speaker then wished “good luck” to any Democratic senators who chose to vote against the SAVE Act and explained to voters the reasoning behind their decision.
