“By and large, they know our story and our career, and some are getting to know it better every day,” Pence said. “So, we think we have time to be discerning, to be reflective, to listen.”
Pence said that he was also happy to be married to Karen Pence (ex-second lady). “both believe that we’ll have a clear sense of our call this spring.”
A donor retreat organized by conservative group Club for Growth hosted the ex-vice president and discussed 2024. Pence spoke at the retreat and argued that “Republicans and conservatives cannot abandon our commitment to fiscal responsibility and reform, and that includes commonsense reforms to Social Security and Medicare.”
The subject of reforming Social Security Trump has warned Republicans about the dangers of Medicare, which Trump says is creating division within GOP.
