Get ready for some political action! Mike Pence is urging 2024 GOP hopefuls to announce their bids by June. The race is on, and the clock is ticking. Who will throw their hat in the ring? Stay tuned!
Are you ready for the 2024 Republican contenders? Former Vice President Mike Pence thinks they should announce their bids by June. In a recent interview with CBS News, Pence stated that anyone serious about seeking the Republican nomination needs to be in the contest by June. This deadline also applies to his own possible candidacy, although he has not formally announced his bid for president yet.
When asked about a possible presidential bid, Pence noted, “Well, I’m here in Iowa.” Iowa is a key presidential battleground state and has historically been an important state for the presidential nomination process for both Republicans and Democrats.
Despite being booed in his home state of Indiana earlier this month when he gave remarks at the National Rifle Association’s (NRA) annual meeting, Pence remains a strong contender. He has represented Indiana in the U.S. House and served as governor of the state before becoming vice president under President Donald Trump.
Relations between Trump and Pence soured after the 2020 election, but Pence has remained steadfast in his commitment to the Constitution. In a statement last year, he said, “under the Constitution, I had no right to change the outcome of our election. And Kamala Harris will have no right to overturn the election when we beat them in 2024.”
So far, the major Republican candidates who have declared they’re running for president include former Trump and former U.S. Ambassador Nikki H. Stay tuned for more updates on the 2024 presidential race!
