Mike Turner says intel committee to hold hearings on how leaker got access to classified materials
House Intelligence CommitteeChairman Mike Turner (R-OH) contended that the suspected leaker of hundreds of classified military documents never should’ve had access in the first place.
First Airman Jack Douglas Teixeira of the Massachusetts Air National Guard was detained earlier Thursday on suspicion of leaking sensitive information about the Ukraine War. Turner asserted that his plate intends to hold hearings on the subject.
Petition SAYS,” SUSPECT Really LEAKED Email OF CLASSIFIED Sheets AROUND DECEMBER.”
The Department of Defense acknowledges in the oath that they were able to track him, and there was no need for him to be aware of the material he was accessing. Turner told CBS ‘ Face the Nation that” those are the questions my committee is going to be asking.”
Teixeira, a journeyman in cyber transport systems, is rumored to have posted private information he acquired on the Discord platform, where it was later shared more broadly. On numerous charges for his illicit loyalty and distribution of national defence content, he appeared in court for the first time on Friday.
Turner remembered the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and how the knowledge place felt it had been overly compartmentalized with private information. He claimed that the changes made in the midst of the attack should be reviewed.
Turner continued,” Clearly, we’ve’ve gotten to the point where someone in Massachusetts is looking at documents regarding war plans in Ukraine. ” That’s’s what our committee will be examining is how do we ensure that we make changes.”
The chairman also refuted claims made by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene( R-GA ) and others that American troops were stationed in Ukraine based on the documents.
Other than the forces that are typically in an ambassador, there are no U.S. troops on the ground in Ukraine to protect the amba. We don’t have any boots on the ground, he claimed. Teixeira is not someone to look up to because if she is found guilty, it will be an spy violation and a traitor to your place.

Turner also voiced his misgivings that Ukraine is using up its weapons quite quickly in response to reviews of the classified documents.
According to Turner, some of these files may take the form of management information. What they display is a to-do variety, and what our friends must do in order to assist Ukraine in replenishing those is what they demonstrate. It does not imply that they lack additional publications.
