A Texas 3-year-old has been reunited with his family after going missing. A four-day search came to an end after the Texas toddler was found alive and well.
Three-year-old Christopher Ramirez was found four days after he was last seen chasing his family dog into the woods on Oct. 6. A local homeowner, who wished to remain anonymous, said he heard of the boy’s disappearance during Bible study and started searching in the woods near his home.
“I called his name and he responded and he kept talking and talking and I just went through the thick of the woods and I found him,” said the man.
When the boy was found he was missing all of his clothing. The toddler’s grandfather said he thinks Ramirez took off his clothes as a sign of dehydration or heat exhaustion.

Ramirez was reunited with his mother and taken to the hospital for further evaluation, but authorities noted the boy was in “overall good spirits and healthy.”
It’s unclear how Ramirez was able to wander five miles from his home in the rugged terrain, but is being praised for his bravery. Hundreds of authorities from local to federal level as well as volunteers, took part in searching the area grounds, air and water. Those involved with the rescue efforts said they were overwhelmed with immense relief once Ramirez was found safe.
