A man driving a U-Haul truck is accused of causing injuries to people on the NYC Sidewalk
After striking and injuring several Brooklyn residents Monday, a UHaul truck driver led police on a lengthy pursuit. Officials from the fire department say that at least eight people were injured in two places, with two of them being in critical condition. Officials deny that there was an attack motive, but they claim it was not accidental. NYPD’s bomb squad was called to the scene to check the truck for possible explosives.
Americans told to leave Russia
All Americans were warned by the U.S. State Department to flee Russia on Monday. This was the most severe warning possible. It’s not the first time the State Department has warned citizens to leave Russia since it began its invasion, but citizens were told “do not” Travel to the Eastern European country and cite “the potential for harassment and the singling out of U.S. citizens for detention.”
Turkey issues arrest warrants for building contractors
Turkey issued over 100 arrest warrants against building contractors on Monday. The contractors, they allege, are to blame for faulty building design and safety mechanisms, which allowed last week’s devastating earthquakes to kill at least 33,000 individuals.

OSHA has fined Mars Wrigley $14,500 after two workers fell in a chocolate vat. According to the federal agency, the candy company failed to provide adequate training for its workers. Local firefighters found the hole in the tank bottom and pulled the two employees out.
