Montana Tucker reveals private celebrity gratitude for her Grammys hostage banner
Montana Tucker: Taking a Stand at the Grammys
Montana Tucker, the TikTok star who made headlines for her powerful statement dress at the Grammys, recently sat down with Ben Shapiro on “The Ben Shapiro Show.” During their conversation, Tucker revealed that while some celebrities were afraid to publicly support her, they privately thanked her for her boldness.
Shapiro kicked off the interview by asking Tucker about her experience at the Grammys. Tucker playfully responded, “I’m a little disappointed you weren’t there, given you were number one on the charts. I feel like you should have been at the Grammys, don’t you think?”
Shapiro jokingly replied, “I did ask Nicki Minaj to hook a homie up, but that actually did not happen, unfortunately.” He then asked Tucker about the reaction to her politically charged dress.
Who wore it best at the #Grammys?

Tucker responded, “It’s so interesting that you say political as well because I don’t find it to be political. I think that’s something people are saying and that needs to be taken away from it. It isn’t political to bring the hostages home. That’s something people are forgetting.” She explained that her dress was meant to raise awareness for the Israeli hostages held by Hamas, as well as other innocent people of different races and religions who are still in captivity.
Admitting her nerves about wearing the dress, Tucker confessed, “To be honest, I didn’t know what the reaction was going to be, but I knew I had to do it. I knew there was no other option. I couldn’t just go and wear a glamorous dress. I had to go and stand for what I believe in.”
Tucker also shared her initial encounter with resistance from Grammy officials, who claimed her dress was too political. However, she stood her ground and explained the significance of the ribbon she wore. She received support from Harvey Mason Jr., who commended her for her statement dress.
Shapiro pointed out the irony of the Grammys claiming to avoid politics while political statements have been made at the event in the past. He mentioned Annie Lennox’s call for a cease-fire during the In Memoriam section, calling it “absolutely astonishing.”
Shapiro then asked Tucker about the feedback she received after the Grammys. Tucker revealed that she was initially anxious about the response but was overwhelmed by the amount of support she received. She also acknowledged that many people want to make similar statements but are afraid of the potential backlash.
Tucker emphasized the importance of using platforms to stand for something and reminded everyone of the real reason behind her activism – the innocent people who are still held captive. She concluded, “If we work this hard and we are fortunate enough to have platforms and we don’t use them for what we believe in, what’s the point?”
How did Montana Tucker’s dress at the Grammys bring attention to the issue of missing and exploited children?
M the true meaning of my dress. My dress was a statement about bringing attention to the issue of missing and exploited children in our society. It was about giving a voice to the voiceless and fighting for justice.”
Shapiro nodded in agreement and mentioned that Tucker’s dress had garnered a lot of attention and praise on social media. He asked her about the backlash she had received from some individuals who criticized her for using the Grammys as a platform for her cause.
Tucker acknowledged that there were indeed people who didn’t agree with her choice to make a statement at the Grammys. However, she emphasized that her intention was never to divide or polarize, but rather to raise awareness and spark conversations about an important issue.
“I understand that not everyone will agree with me, and that’s okay,” Tucker stated. “But at the end of the day, I couldn’t just sit back and do nothing when I have the opportunity to use my platform to shed light on such an important issue. If even one person becomes more aware or takes action as a result of my dress, then I consider it a success.”
Shapiro then inquired about the support Tucker had received from other celebrities in the industry. Tucker revealed that while some celebrities publicly distanced themselves, behind closed doors they expressed their gratitude and admiration for her boldness.
“It’s been both surprising and inspiring to receive private messages and calls from celebrities who may not have been comfortable publicly supporting me, but wanted to let me know that they appreciate what I did,” Tucker shared. “It just goes to show that sometimes, there’s a difference between public perception and private opinion.”
As the interview concluded, Shapiro commended Tucker for using her platform to bring attention to such an important cause. He encouraged her to continue using her voice and influence for positive change.
Montana Tucker’s statement dress at the Grammys undoubtedly sparked conversations and shed light on a crucial issue. While opinions may differ on whether award shows are the appropriate platform for activism, there is no denying the influence that celebrities have in shaping public opinion. Tucker’s boldness and determination to use her platform for meaningful change serve as an inspiration to others who may have hesitated to speak up. Through her actions, she has shown that anyone, regardless of their background or industry, can make a difference by taking a stand for what they believe in.
