More are using and liking X since Musk bought it
Elon Musk’s golden touch just gets brighter.
The latest Rasmussen Reports survey shared with Secrets shows that it extends to his purchase of Twitter, which he renamed X.
HOW ELON MUSK HELPED WILL TRUMP BACK TO THE WHITE HOUSE
The polling outfit reported on Wednesday that X regulars are using the social media site more, and they’re liking it better since his purchase and bid to tear down barriers to free speech, especially to conservatives.
Musk, already a capitalist icon with his Tesla and SpaceX companies, paid about $44 billion for Twitter in 2022. He renamed it X and began taking down hurdles created by the firm to many conservatives and even President-elect Donald Trump.
So far, “regular users” have liked the changes. Rasmussen said that by a margin of 43%-27%, Musk’s changes to X have “made the platform better.”

And by a margin of 42%-24%, those polled said that they are using it more.
While X and Twitter have always been used less than Facebook and other social media sites, likely because it is focused on politics and news more than family photos, 40% said they use it, versus 55% who don’t. That’s higher than before Musk purchased it.
In recent months, as Musk has strengthened his ties to Trump and is helping with the incoming president’s effort to shrink the government, liberals have complained about X. Some have even quit or joined a new, left-leaning competitor, Bluesky.
That partisanship in X use and satisfaction was captured in the Rasmussen survey.

For example, 64% of Republicans said the site has improved since Musk purchased it, compared to 29% of Democrats.
Also, 55% of Republicans said they use X more versus just 34% of Democrats.
