A former National Football League wide receiver is currently fighting for his life following a devastating construction site accident. Mike Williams, 36, was seriously injured in Hillsborough County, Florida, last week when a steel beam landed on his head. The accident has left him paralyzed in his right arm and lower body.
Williams, a New York native, had a five-year NFL career, playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Buffalo Bills, and Kansas City Chiefs. Despite some erroneous reports of his passing, Williams is still alive and receiving medical care in a Tampa-area hospital.
