The Mother of Hunter Biden’s Estranged Child Opens Up About Her Experience
In an interview published Saturday in The New York Times, Lunden Roberts, the mother of Hunter Biden’s estranged fourth child, shared her story and the challenges she faced in dealing with the president’s son.
Roberts, who used to work as an assistant for Hunter Biden, spoke out about their relationship following the birth of their child in 2018. She highlighted both President Biden and his son’s attempts to distance themselves from the child.
According to The New York Times, Roberts and Biden recently settled a lengthy court battle over child support. As part of the settlement, Hunter Biden will give some of his paintings, which have been valued at up to $500,000, to their daughter.
In an Instagram post, Roberts seemingly took a jab at Biden, captioning a photo with their daughter, “I hope one day when you look back you find yourself proud of who you are, where you come from, and most importantly, who raised you.”
Roberts expressed her frustration with false accusations and rumors about her, stating, “People can call me whatever they want, but they can’t call me a bad mother.”
She also recalled how Hunter Biden stopped responding to her text messages when their child was born and later removed them from his health insurance. It wasn’t until a lawsuit in 2019 that DNA testing confirmed Biden as the father.
The original child support claim included a request to change the child’s last name to Biden, but this request was dropped as part of the settlement.
Despite the challenges, Roberts emphasized that their daughter is proud of her family and knows who her grandfather and father are.

President Joe Biden has repeatedly refused to acknowledge that Roberts’ daughter is his grandchild. Aides to the president have reportedly been told in strategy meetings that the Bidens have six grandchildren and not seven, according to The New York Times.
“And then, the best part of it all, I have six grandchildren,” the president said in April. “And I’m crazy about them. And I speak to them every single day. Not a joke.”
