‘Much Worse Than Anyone Knows’: Jeremy Renner’s Friends Speak Of His Condition

Jeremy Renner’s condition following a snowplow accident is reportedly far more severe than has been previously reported, according Radar Online interviewed friends of the actor.

Renner was injured over the New Year’s weekend in an attempt to help a stranded family member when his 14,330-pound snowcat machine ran over him. Renner was transported by helicopter from his home in Reno, Nevada, to Renown Regional Medical Center, the region’s only trauma center, where it was determined he had suffered blunt chest trauma. Renner’s representative stated that he had suffered blunt chest trauma. “He has returned from surgery and will remain in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition.”

Sources told Radar Online that Renner’s road to recovery could take two years to complete and that Renner “almost bled out” At the scene of an accident.

“It’s much worse than anyone knows. Jeremy is very aware of the fact that he almost died out there,” One source stated. “The right side of Jeremy’s chest was crushed, and his upper torso had collapsed. He also had a bad head wound that was bleeding and a leg injury.”

“He knew he was in bad shape and that he might not make it out of this,” Another source was added.

An additional insider said, “Word is the damage to Jeremy’s chest was so substantial it had to be reconstructed in surgery.” Another source claimed Renner had been through multiple surgeries.

“So far, he’s had two surgeries and he will likely require more in the weeks ahead on his leg,” Another source stated the following: “Doctors tend to space out operations to allow time for the body’s natural healing process to kick in, and that’s the case here.”

“Jeremy’s doing okay,” One source had an opinion. “He’s pretty doped up and he’s got tubes to help him breathe, but he’s a fighter, and he’s determined to get through this.”

“If anyone knows Jeremy, he is a fighter and doesn’t mess around,” Renner’s sister Kym told People Magazine Last week. “He is crushing all the progress goals. We couldn’t feel more positive about the road ahead.”

Renner posts progress messages to Instagram. On Jan. 3, he wrote: “Thank you all for your kind words. 🙏. I’m too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all.”

He showed his sister his head massaging it while announcing that it was a update for the public on January 5. “spa moment to lift my spirits.” He wrote the following on January 6, “Thank you renowned medical ICU team for beginning this journey.”
