Musk stumping for Trump in Pennsylvania – Washington Examiner
Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, is set to campaign in Pennsylvania this weekend on behalf of former President Donald Trump as the election approaches, with Trump facing Vice President Kamala Harris. Pennsylvania, with its 19 Electoral College votes, is a critical battleground state that has historically leaned Democratic, having supported President Biden in 2020. However, it was pivotal for Trump’s victory in 2016, highlighting its competitiveness.
Musk has announced on his platform, X, that he will hold a series of talks across Pennsylvania from tomorrow through Monday. Attendance at these talks is free, provided individuals have signed his petition advocating for free speech and the right to bear arms, as well as having voted in the election. Musk’s activities in Pennsylvania underscore the state’s importance in the upcoming election, especially given the ongoing competitive Senate race involving Senator Bob Casey.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk will hit the campaign trail in Pennsylvania on former President Donald Trump‘s behalf this weekend.
The election between Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris is less than three weeks away. Trump and Harris have Pennsylvania and its 19 Electoral College votes pegged as the top prize among battleground states. The state has largely supported Democrats for president, including helping put President Joe Biden over the top in 2020.
However, Biden’s backyard isn’t a lock for Harris or Democrats generally. Trump’s path to victory in 2016 ran through the Keystone State, and it has been home to some of the most competitive Senate races in recent years, including Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA) trying to fend off challenger Dave McCormick this cycle.
“Tomorrow night through Monday, I will be giving a series of talks throughout Pennsylvania. If you’d like to attend one of my talks, there’s no attendance fee,” Musk wrote on his platform X. “You just need to have signed our petition supporting free speech & right to bear arms & have voted in this election.”
Musk referred to his petition, saying they will support free speech and the Second Amendment. It doesn’t register people to vote or require anyone to show up at a polling place on Election Day. To boost support for voting, Musk’s America PAC is offering $47 for every referral that results in a signature via his pro-Trump super PAC.
Only voters in swing states — Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, and North Carolina — are eligible for the payments, and they must refer people by Oct. 21. That deadline is the final day voters in Pennsylvania can register to vote if they want to cast a ballot in November.
America PAC received a $75 million donation from Musk on Tuesday. The PAC has spent $80 million ahead of Election Day.
Musk joined Trump onstage during his Butler rally weeks ago. The event marked Trump’s first time back there since the July 13 assassination attempt, which prompted Musk’s public endorsement.
