Musk’s X to cover legal costs for those ‘unjustly targeted’ on platform.

(Reuters) – Elon Musk’s X social media platform is taking a stand against unfair treatment by employers. Musk announced that X will cover the legal expenses and file lawsuits on behalf of individuals who have faced discrimination due to their posts or likes on the platform formerly known as Twitter.

“If you were unfairly treated by your employer due to posting or liking something on this platform, we will fund your legal bill,” Musk stated in a post on X.‌ He emphasized that there will be no limits to the funding provided.

“And we won’t just sue, it will be extremely loud, and we will go after the boards of directors of the companies too,” Musk added in response to a post about the power of legal action in ‍changing behavior.

Last month, Musk revealed that X had reached a “new high” in monthly ⁣users, with over 540 million people actively⁤ using the platform. This⁣ milestone comes as the company undergoes organizational changes and seeks to boost declining advertising revenue.

Furthermore, X executives have been highlighting‍ the platform’s strong⁢ traction in usage, especially after the launch of Meta ⁢Platforms’ competing platform, Threads, on July 5.

After 17 years with the iconic blue bird logo representing the broadcasting of ideas, Musk rebranded Twitter as X in July, unveiling a new logo⁣ and signaling a focus on building an “everything app.”

Musk previously mentioned that the platform’s cash flow remains negative due to a significant drop in advertising ‌revenue and a heavy debt load. Despite expectations of an advertising revenue upturn in June, it failed to materialize.
