Nancy Mace calls on Democratic colleagues to support women with illegal immigrant bill – Washington Examiner
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) is urging Senate Democrats to support her proposed legislation, the “Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act,” which aims to amend the Immigration and Nationality Act. The bill would make non-U.S. citizens who commit sex offenses or domestic violence inadmissible and deportable. Mace contends that passing this bill is essential for demonstrating a true commitment to supporting women, and she criticized Democrats for their previous opposition, emphasizing that their motto of supporting all women should translate into action. She aims to provoke Democrats into publicly voting on the bill, asserting that if they genuinely care about women, they should show it by supporting legislation that protects American women and girls.

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) demanded that Senate Democrats support her Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act to “show” they support their motto of supporting all women.
The bill, which Mace introduced earlier this year, seeks to amend the Immigration and Nationality Act so that non-U.S. citizens convicted of or who have committed sex offenses or domestic violence are “inadmissible and deportable.” The South Carolina lawmaker argued that “every tool in the toolbox” should be used to make the Senate vote on the bill to ensure it gets to President Joe Biden’s desk.
“I want to force a Democrat to go on record in the Senate and vote against it or vote it down,” Mace said on Fox News’s The Faulkner Focus. “That’s what we should be doing. Otherwise, it should go immediately to the desk of Joe Biden to be signed into law. If your motto is ‘we care about all women,’ show us how you care about American women and girls.”
Mace added that it is “insane” how 158 Democrats in the House voted against her bill. She stressed a need to deport illegal immigrants assaulting women. She also said she would be “taking on” one of her local county sheriffs for allowing over 50 illegal immigrants into her state, “including one alleged pedophile.”
The bill passed in the House last week with 266 voting in favor, with 51 Democrats joining all House Republicans in supporting it.
Former President Donald Trump, who is running for president again, has campaigned on enacting major deportations of illegal immigrants while on the campaign trail. A new Scripps News-Ipsos survey found that 54% of respondents said they “strongly” or “somewhat” support this policy from Trump.
