Pelosi highlights Biden’s extensive experience despite age concerns.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi: President Biden’s Age is a Benefit for Reelection

During Axios’s State of the U.S. Fight Against AIDS virtual event on Wednesday, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi expressed her confidence that President Joe Biden will win reelection in 2024. In fact, she believes that his age of 80 years old is actually a benefit.

“He’s been around a while and that experience counts for a lot of knowledge and judgment about how to get things done,” Pelosi stated.

Pelosi, who is 83 years old herself, further explained that Biden thinks strategically and has a successful track record in accomplishing his goals.

The topic of Biden’s age has been a subject of discussion from both sides of the political spectrum leading up to the 2024 presidential election. Many view the prospect of an 86-year-old president, which Biden would be by the end of a second term, as a negative.

A recent poll conducted by the Pew Research Center revealed that 49% of Americans believe the ideal age range for a president is in their 50s. Interestingly, the two front runners for the 2024 contest are Biden and former President Donald Trump, who is 77 years old.

Another poll conducted by JL Partners/DailyMail.com found that nearly half of the respondents believed Biden is too old to be the commander-in-chief.

However, Biden himself seems unfazed by these concerns. When asked about his age, he jokingly replied, “With regard to age, I can’t even say I guess how old I am, I can’t even say the number.” He emphasized that he feels good and excited about the prospects of his presidency.

Earlier this week, Biden made headlines for skipping a dinner with his NATO counterparts in Vilnius, Lithuania. U.S. officials cited his busy schedule as the reason for his absence.

“Biden is not attending tonight’s dinner with NATO leaders,” an official stated. “The president has four full days of official business and is preparing for a big speech tomorrow, in addition to another day at the summit.”

This decision raised concerns, particularly due to the president’s advanced age.
