Nashville Christian School Shooter Planned Massacre Months In Advance, Considered Previous Mass Murderers: Police
The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) has issued an update on their ongoing investigation into the recent shooting at a Christian elementary school. The suspect, a 28-year-old individual who identified as male despite being biologically female, shot her way into the Covenant School before killing three staff members and three 9-year-old children. According to the police, the shooter had carefully planned the massacre over a period of months.
The MNPD confirmed in a press release that the shooter acted alone and was influenced by previous mass murderers. However, the investigators have not yet established a motive for the crime. In addition to the journals and other documentation found in the shooter’s home and car, her manifesto is also under investigation by the Behavioral Analysis Unit of the FBI.
The shooter had legally purchased seven firearms from gun stores in the Nashville area, which she used during the attack. She fired a total of 152 rounds before being killed by responding officers. The victims included three children, a custodian, a substitute teacher, and the head of the Covenant School.
Investigators are continuing to review the shooter’s writings and search for any further evidence that may provide a motive for the crime.
