Nashville Shooter Sent Chilling Messages To A Friend Moments Before Entering Christian School
The perpetrator of the recent shooting at a Nashville Christian elementary school, a 28-year-old woman, sent a series of alarming messages to her friend just moments before the attack. The Daily Wire will not name the shooter in line with company policy. According to reports, the woman sent messages to her former middle school basketball teammate Averianna Patton on Instagram at around 9:57 a.m., roughly 15 minutes prior to entering the school where she killed six people, including three children.
In the messages, the shooter, who identified as a man despite being a biological female, told Patton, “I’m planning to die today. THIS IS NOT A JOKE!!!! You’ll probably hear about me on the news after I die.” Despite efforts from Patton to intervene, the shooter continued to send more disturbing messages, including, “My family doesn’t know what I’m about to do. One day this will make more sense. I’ve left more than enough evidence behind. … But something bad is about to happen.”
After receiving the messages, Patton immediately sought guidance from her father before reaching out to authorities. Moments later, officers from the Metro Nashville Police Department intervened and rushed into the Covenant School, where the shooter had breached the building. The police opened fire with two of the cops shooting and killing the shooter immediately.
In the aftermath of the incident, the police conducted a search of the shooter’s home and found a manifesto along with detailed maps of the school, including points of entry. While authorities have a theory on the shooter’s motive, they have not disclosed it publicly.
