A Nevada Democrat isn’t happy with her state party’s redistricting results.
Rep. Dina Titus alleged she was cheated out of her congressional district during a town hall on Thursday. Titus claimed parts of her safe blue voting pool were siphoned off into neighboring districts, creating three “risky districts.”
Titus accused Republicans of “using gerrymandering to cut out Democratic seats.” She added, “they could have created two safe seats for themselves and one swing.”

The congresswoman said reelection already proved increasingly difficult due to Joe Biden’s low approval ratings and policy-induced inflation. The redistricting was approved by the state’s Democrat legislature and Gov. Steve Sisolak (D-Nev.) last month.
Titus’ frustration comes as Republicans seek to take back control in the 2022 midterm elections.
