The “Known for”Missouri Save Adolescents from Experimentation (SAFE) ActThe bill (SB 49) It is a move to prevent doctors or other healthcare providers from rendering services. “gender transition procedures to any individual under eighteen years of age” Further bar providers can be found at referring “any individual under eighteen years of age to any health care provider for gender transition procedures.” Referring for this procedure by health care professionals would result in disciplinary action. “appropriate licensing entity or disciplinary review board.”
“The provision of gender transition procedures to an individual under eighteen years of age in violation of the provisions of this section shall be considered grounds for a cause of action against the health care provider for personal injury or death under chapter 538 and such cause of action shall be governed by the provisions of such chapter,” The bill is as follows: “An individual under eighteen years of age upon whom gender transition procedures were performed in violation of this section may bring the cause of action either through a next friend or his or her own name.”
It’s “abhorrent that we’re allowing this to happen for the sake of [so-called] gender affirming care. This is not care by any means,” The Federalist was told by Mike Moon, GOP state senator and bill sponsor. “Parents are being misled and children are being lied to. Two young women that I’ve met recently told me that medical personnel told their parents that if they didn’t continue with these procedures, that their children would commit suicide. And both of [these young women] told me that this was the first time that suicide had ever entered their mind.”
SB 49 was passed. passed the Senate’s Emerging Issues Committee and now heads to the full, Republican-controlled upper chamber for passage, it’s unclear if the bill will receive a final vote before the body departs for spring break next week. Moon stated that the Senate should wait until Wednesday before bringing up the bill to be put to a vote. “likely” The measure could be filibustered by Democrats “until the adjournment motion is made for spring break.” In that case, he recommends senators to remain in session throughout the break so they can pass the bill.
“If we’re not willing to give up our time off to protect children in Missouri, then why be in the legislature?” Moon asked.
Recently, the a whistleblower Former employees of the Washington University Transgender Center, St. Louis Children’s Hospital made allegations about irreversible surgery that was performed on children. “permanently harming the vulnerable patients in [their] care.” In an exposé published in The Free Press, Jamie Reed, a self-described “queer woman” who’s “politically to the left of Bernie Sanders” Children claimed that the hospitals system is facilitating their harm by contributing to their suffering “transitioning,” It also included giving puberty-blockers to minors as well as cross-sex hormones to them “can have life-altering consequences—including sterility.”
Andrew Bailey is the Missouri GOP Attorney-General. launched an investigation Reed’s assertions.
As The Federalist has previously stated reportedThere are other possible side effects to pumping these chemicals into children. “loss of bone density, increased risk of blood clots, premature brain aging and increased aggression, [and] reduced capacity for sexual pleasure,” These are just a few. Trans activists are obsessed with pushing these life-altering procedures upon unsuspecting kids, but studies show that more than 90% of those suffering from gender dysphoria in minors will have their issues resolved. “by the time they reach adulthood or even earlier.”
The SAFE Act, if passed and signed into law by Missouri, would ban horrific procedures such as mutilative gender surgeries and chemical castingration of children. Similar procedures have been banned by other states. Arkansas And MississippiWith Tennessee slated You can join our growing number of members in the very near future.
