New ‘Nonpartisan’ Virginia School Board Group Is Actually Led By Prominent Leftists

Virginia school board have been making headlines in recent years, from the imprisonment of kids at school board sessions to the claims that assaults were covered up in school restrooms. Different political action committees have emerged as a result to support and advance candidates for school boards who, in their opinion, will advance their goals the best.

We the People of Education, a” nonpartisan” Virginia-based organization, came out last month and made the case that supporting school board candidates should be prioritized over political agendas and polarization in favor of good governance, financial management, and positive school results. Several of the group’s’s committee members, however, have a history of endorsing communist political objectives in the public education system in Virginia, despite the organization claiming to be natural.

The group’s’s committee includes Anne Holton, the woman of Democratic Sen. Tim Kaine. The U.S. Constitution’s’s preface, which Holton publicly criticized when the Board of Education approved Republican Gov., is the source of the term” We the People of Educated.” fresh historical standards set by Glenn Youngkin.

You cannot refer to the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution as” remarkable documents” without also acknowledging that they [ are] fundamental in enshrining slavery and limiting the protections they provided only to white property-owning men ,” according to Holton.

Former Virginia Secretary of Education Atif Qarni, another board member, also made a comment regarding the updated history standards of learning( SOL ). In an interview with Virginia-based Democratic political journalist and critic Lowell Feld, Qarni made the case that” white weakness” and a willingness to uphold” White privilege and rights” are to blame for the backlash against teaching the left’s’s preferred version of history. Qarni had formerly attacked Youngkin, calling him” whites and bigots” and accusing him of using racist language.

The We the People board also includes Dr. James Fedderman, president of the Virginia Education Association( VEA ), a statewide teachers union. Fedderman most reportedly gained notoriety for mailing all VEA members a” Black Lives Matter at School toolkit.” The toolkit was criticized by Youngkin’s’s administration for its politically divisive lesson plans on racial identity and the Black Lives Matter movement, as well as for guiding principles like” disruption of the Western nuclear family dynamics” and” recognizing( transgender ) – antagonistic violence.”

Now, worried parents who spoke out at school board meetings were smeared by Sarah Gross, the president of We the People of Education.

In a news release, Gross stated that” over the past few years, we have seen fanaticism and cruel speech take over our school board meetings, sow disinformation in our communities, and work to break us.”

A quick glance at the men behind We the People for Education reveals a different story, despite the fact that the title and objective of the organization does imply an agenda of conservatism. However, the group’s’s site provides no details about its board members, which only serves to increase rumors about the organization’aims.

Voters have a duty to make sure that the right people are chosen to run Virginia’s’s education system because its future is in trouble.
