The ⁣Republican National Committee Encourages Early Voting⁢ in 2024 Presidential Race

The Republican National Committee (RNC) has launched an engaging video ad urging supporters to vote early ⁢in the upcoming ‍2024 presidential race. The ad emphasizes the importance of winning the⁤ elections and features⁢ prominent GOP leaders ⁢such as‌ RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, former Vice President Mike Pence, Miami Mayor⁢ Francis Suarez, former President Donald Trump, Senator Bill Hagerty, Representative Byron Donalds, and Senator Ted Cruz.

“That’s how we’re going to beat the Democrats at their own⁢ game,” said Mr. Hagerty.

The ad will air on Aug.⁣ 23 during the first Republican⁣ presidential debate in Milwaukee. ⁢The RNC plans to host over⁢ 400 debate watch parties across the United States, encouraging attendees to‍ pledge to vote⁣ early on BankYourVote.com.

In addition to the ad spot, the RNC will set up a Bank Your⁢ Vote booth in⁤ Milwaukee on debate day, providing fact sheets on early voting⁣ and absentee voting.

Those who pledge to vote early ⁣on BankYourVote.com will​ have the chance to attend a future Republican presidential primary ‍debate.

“When Republicans vote early, we win. To ensure that Biden is a one-term President, Republican voters from across the country need to bank their vote ahead of Election Day in 2024,” said Ms. McDaniel in‌ an Aug. 23 press ‍release.

The RNC launched the Bank Your Vote initiative in June to educate GOP ⁢supporters on early voting methods. Party members will visit citizens door-to-door,⁢ collecting and dropping off ballots on their behalf in places where ballot harvesting is ⁣legally ⁤permitted.

Ballot Harvesting

In a Jan.​ 13 opinion piece in The Hill, Harvard University professor⁣ Paul‍ E. Peterson highlighted how rules like ballot harvesting align with the Democratic Party’s⁤ agenda. He noted that in 1996,‌ nine out of 10 voters cast‍ their ballots in person on Election Day,​ but that number dropped to six out​ of 10‌ in 2016.

A November 2020 Pew⁢ Research study revealed that 46 percent of ‌voters used mail-in or absentee ballots in⁣ the 2020 ​presidential⁤ election,⁣ while just over half voted in person.

While 32 percent of Trump supporters voted⁢ by mail-in or absentee ballots, a higher percentage of Joe ‍Biden’s⁣ supporters, 58 percent, utilized these methods.

Joseph Arlinghaus, president of Valor ‍America, cautioned Republicans against relying on ballot harvesting.⁤ He emphasized that Democrats have a well-established “powerful election-industrial complex” that has been‍ developed over several decades.
