Every aspect of our daily lives seems to be infiltrated by the leftist agenda, and now even grocery stores are not safe from wokeness.

Imagine going to a movie, attending a sporting event, or simply going to school without being bombarded with woke ideologies. Unfortunately, that is becoming increasingly difficult.

Recently, a grocery store chain in Washington state discreetly introduced a woke element into the shopping experience.

According to Fox News, customers using the self-checkout at Haggen, a grocery store chain owned by Albertson’s, are confronted with a prompt on the card reader. The prompt asks, “Would you like to donate to help advocate for DEI awareness?” and offers donation options ranging from $1 to any other amount.

For those unaware, “DEI” stands for “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion,” the mantra of the modern progressive religion.

A photo of the prompt on the card reader also reveals a sign behind the kiosk advertising the Haggen Foundation, the grocery store’s own charity.

While the Haggen Foundation does donate to genuine charities, such as those supporting cancer patients and people with disabilities, it also contributes to woke initiatives.

These initiatives include the Northwest Justice Project, which aims to challenge “structural and racial inequities to promote the long-term well-being of low-income individuals, families, and communities across Washington State.”

The Haggen Foundation also reportedly donates to the Northwest Immigrants Rights Project and Empower Next Generations, organizations that often speak out against “systemic oppression” and advocate for diversity and inclusion.

It is safe to assume that the “DEI initiatives” mentioned in the prompt operate under similar philosophies. This prompt is nothing more than an attempt to persuade customers to donate to woke organizations.

The problem lies in the fact that it is easy for someone to donate to these initiatives without realizing what they are actually supporting.

Most of us visit the grocery store frequently and often use self-checkout, going through the motions of grocery shopping without much thought.

If you are someone who regularly donates to charities prompted by the card reader, you might habitually press the “donate” button without considering the charity’s purpose.

That is why it is crucial to be cautious when deciding which charities to support.

If you are a patriotic American who believes in traditional conservative values, you probably do not want to contribute to these initiatives, as they are used to advance a leftist agenda.

While this is currently happening in one store in Washington, it is owned by a grocery giant with stores across the country. Therefore, it is highly likely that similar prompts are appearing elsewhere in America.

Stay vigilant and watch out for this prompt, and others like it, the next time you visit the grocery store.
