NFL Tight End Steps Away From Football After Getting Life-Changing Diagnosis
Foster Moreau, a tight end who was a free agent, recently announced that he is stepping away from football to focus on his battle against cancer. Moreau had played for the Las Vegas Raiders for his entire career and was only made aware of the diagnosis during a routine physical when he visited another team. Hodgkin’s Lymphoma was detected in his white blood cells, and he decided to step away from football to fight the disease.
He took to Twitter to share the news with his followers, expressing his gratitude for the support and guidance he had received so far. He vowed to overcome cancer and return to football soon. Hodgkin’s lymphoma originates in lymphocytes, and the presence of Reed-Sternberg cells distinguishes it from other types of lymphoma.
Meanwhile, actor Sam Neill, famous for his role in the Jurassic Park movies, revealed that he had been fighting non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma for a year. He shared that losing his hair during chemotherapy was the toughest part, but he was encouraged to keep fighting by the good days he experienced. Neill provided updates about his progress on Instagram, and he recently announced that he had been in remission for eight months.
Even though the news about Neill’s cancer had been all over the press, he was happy to be alive and kicking and preparing to go back to work. He cautioned people not to worry too much about his case and instead focus on living their lives to the fullest, which was his ultimate goal.
