GOP 2024 presidential candidate Nikki Haley has emerged victorious in the midnight vote kick off of the New Hampshire presidential primaries, winning all six votes in Dixville Notch.
On Tuesday, all six registered voters in the small New Hampshire town cast their votes for Nikki Haley in the GOP primary race.
The group consisted of four registered Republicans and two registered “undeclared” voters.
Haley, 52, expressed her gratitude to the town of Dixville Notch in a statement following her win.
“A great start to a great day in New Hampshire,” Haley said. ”Thank you Dixville Notch!”
Each of the six voters entered the voting booth individually after the national anthem played aloud.
Journalists from across the nation eagerly presented the results live on television after the ballots were manually counted, read aloud, and written on a whiteboard.
The voting process lasted approximately 10 minutes.
While Dixville Notch has upheld this tradition for nearly 60 years, it is the only town in New Hampshire to vote at midnight this year. Millsfield and Hart’s Location, two other towns that typically participate in midnight voting, have opted for more conventional daytime voting hours.
In 2020, Michael Bloomberg secured victory in Dixville Notch with three write-in votes, while Bernie Sanders and Pete Buttigieg each received one vote.
