Nissan recalls 236K+ cars due to steering control problem.
Nissan Recalls Over 236,000 Cars Due to Steering Control Issue
Attention all Nissan car owners! Nissan has recently issued a recall for more than 236,000 of their vehicles, and you’ll want to pay close attention to this. The recall revolves around a critical issue that could potentially result in a loss of steering control for drivers.
The problem lies with the tie rods, an essential component responsible for steering the wheels of a vehicle. In certain Nissan models, the tie rods located in the front suspension can become bent or even break, as reported by the Associated Press.
Recalled Models: Sentra Compact Cars (2020-2022)
If you happen to own a Sentra compact car from the model years 2020 through 2022, it’s crucial that you take immediate action. Look out for signs such as an off-center steering wheel or unusual vibrations in your vehicle. Should you experience any of these symptoms, it is highly recommended that you contact your dealer right away.
Rest assured, Nissan dealerships are prepared to inspect and replace any damaged tie rods initially. Furthermore, once an improved design becomes available, they will replace both the left and right tie rods at absolutely no cost to you, the owner.
Stay informed! Starting from October 5th, owners of the affected vehicles will receive a notification letter via mail. This letter will provide you with all the necessary details regarding the recall. Additionally, a subsequent letter will be sent out to inform you when the replacement parts are ready.
It’s worth noting that some of these vehicles were previously recalled for the same issue two years ago. Therefore, if you own one of these cars, you will once again require new tie rods, as stated in official Nissan documents.
Don’t delay, ensure your safety on the road by taking prompt action. Contact your dealer and stay updated on this important recall.
