No ‘specific threats’ of Trump-related violence if he is indicted, White House says
The White House said on Monday that there have been no specific threats of violence related to Donald Trump if he is indicted, despite the former president’s call to protest in the case of an arrest.
Trump posted on Truth Social on Saturday that he might be arrested on Tuesday in connection with the Stormy Daniels case, and urged his followers to protest if that happened. However, no threats have been reported yet, according to spokesperson for the National Security Council, John Kirby.

“I’m not aware of any specific briefings or specific threats,” Kirby said. “As I said yesterday, we always monitor this, even absent the context of those comments, we’re constantly monitoring this, as you would think we should, particularly in the wake of what happened [on] Jan. 6.”
Kirby noted that security measures are in place should protests arise from Trump’s social media statement.
“Illegal leaks from a corrupt and highly political Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, which has allowed new records to be set in violent crime and whose leader is funded by George Soros, indicate that, with no crime being able to be proven, and based on an old and fully debunked (by numerous other prosecutors!) fairytale, the far and away leading Republican candidate and former president of the United States of America, will be arrested on Tuesday of next week,” Trump wrote. “Protest, take our nation back.”
Trump has previously criticized the Manhattan district attorney’s office investigation into hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 election. Reports suggest that the office is preparing to indict Trump on criminal charges, marking the first time an indictment has been brought against a former U.S. president.

The former president is scheduled to attend a rally in Waco, Texas, on Saturday. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked about security concerns at the event.
“I can’t speak to what the former president is going to do or say,” she said. “I’m not tracking any security concerns, so I don’t have anything more to share beyond that.”
