No, the U.S. Was Not “Built on Slavery”

Disney, which was once a family-owned company, shattered any pretenses of being one and jumped headfirst into social justice with an episode of “The Proud Family” This included a slam poem segment that echoed fringe critical race theory’s claim that “slaves built this country.”
As RedState reportedIt soon became apparent that Latoya Raveneau (the writer of the show) is a loud, proud, and vocal social justice radical. “not-at-all-secret gay agenda” Wants to Introduce “queerness” Your kids will love the shows she watches. She also claimed that Disney has no plans to stop her.
Here’s the executive producer of this show, Latoya Raveneau—who identifies as a “biromantic asexual”—saying that she is also implementing a “not-at-all-secret gay agenda” And regularly “adding queerness” To children’s programming.pic.twitter.com/eJnZMpLgNr

We must first destroy the idea that slavery built this country. While it’d be unrealistic to say they weren’t a part of the nation’s development, putting them as the prime constructors of an entire nation is like saying the guy who crafted the axle at the car factory built your vehicle. While he was definitely part of the process, he doesn’t get to take all the credit.
Many different kinds of people arrived in the new world to work their land, build their towns and establish their societies without the aid of slaves. The Trans-Atlantic slave market transported over 12 million slaves but it only brought in a fraction. 300,000. They made it to the United States. This didn’t happen all at once. Although slavery officially began in 1619, it was only the beginning with just 20 slaves.
To think that over the course of time that singular group of people built an entire nation — even a burgeoning one — by themselves is the height of fantasy. This is especially true when you continue to plug the numbers.
The slave population would later balloon to around four million by the time the emancipation proclamation was signed in 1863, and while that number is tragically large, it doesn’t mean that there was a slave for every family. Slavery was concentrated in the agrarian southern region, with only a small number of slaves being held there. 25% The south was rich enough to have slaves.
Agriculturally, according to the report, the north that was free from slaves continued to outpace it by leaps. The West World is a battlefield:
“But in a longer struggle the North’s advantages were substantial. With a population of 20 million, the Northern states obviously possessed a much larger military manpower base, but their industrial capacity was far greater as well. In 1860 the North had over 110,000 manufacturing establishments, the South just 18,000. The North produced 94 percent of the country’s iron, 97 percent of is coal and – not incidentally – 97 percent of its firearms. It contained 22,000 miles of railroad to the South’s 8,500. The North outperformed the South agriculturally as well. Northerners held 75 percent of the country’s farm acreage, produced 60 percent of its livestock, 67 percent of its corn, and 81 percent of its wheat. All in all, they held 75 percent of the nation’s total wealth.”
These statistics immediately destroy the notion that “slaves built this country.” Not only did the north succeed greatly without them, but the majority of the south also didn’t have them.
The notion that white people were sat in rocking chair sipping tea and black people were doing all the work between 1619 and 1863 is simply absurd. It overlooks the blood, sweat and tears of many types of people, such as Mexicans, Germans Irish, Chinese, and others. It intentionally ignores the industriousness of entire countries that are trying to make a better world.
Yes, slavery played a part. But not enough to take all the credit. I am led to believe that reparations are due to the black population in the United States by the tax payers of this country.
No. No one is responsible for slavery’s atrocities. First, nobody alive today could have sinned or had that sin committed on them. It is long past the point of any guilt. It is absurd to think of original sin outside the church. Today’s white people are not guilty of the same crimes that a small percentage of black people committed long ago. The nation that made slavery illegal and declared war on emancipation as a goal led to an amazing loss of lives is not responsible for any reparations.
This nation’s story is, in part, a struggle against slavery It all starts at the foundations. White supremacy wasn’t the ultimate goal of those most loyal and committed to the American dream, spirit, and values, despite the claims made by race hustlers. Because there is no one to whom anything is due, nothing is owed. Be owed.
Social sins are not transferable.
Raveneau is like most radical leftists bitter and bigoted. Her racism against white people is clearly on display, as is her disdain for a country that sacrificed much to shed itself of the slavery she’s using as a tool to exert social control over innocent people. That Disney is allowing this to happen shows just how lost it is and how it too wishes to damage this great nation’s reputation and cast its people as villains for simply existing in a place where once there was slavery.
The bitter truth that race hustlers need to face is that white people today aren’t guilty of slavery. White supremacy is not the main goal of most white Americans today. Anyone who claims otherwise is selling you something that will be harmful to everyone.
Slavery should be banished from the history. It is not possible to bring it back today, either in practice or as an instrument of social dictatorship.
