One America News Offers Tucker $25 Million to Join Network
Tucker Carlson Receives Job Offer with $25 Million Salary from One America News
Tucker Carlson is in high demand after news broke that he may have already received a job offer with a salary up to three times more than what Fox News was paying him. According to The Times of San Diego, One America News (OAN) is willing to pay $25 million to Carlson to join its network.
OAN CEO and founder Robert Herring expressed his interest in Carlson, stating, “It would be great if we could get Tucker! I might give him around $25 million. And he would be well worth that!”
The news comes after OAN tweeted that “Fox News’ loss could be [OAN’s] gain.” The network even extended an invitation to Carlson to meet for negotiation.
While it’s unclear if the salary OAN is offering Tucker Carlson would be annually or over a longer deal, the host’s salary at his previous job at Fox News was $8 million, according to Times of San Diego. However, a conflicting report from Forbes claimed Carlson was making between $15 million and $20 million a year.
If Times of San Diego’s report is correct and Herring’s offer is yearly, then it would be over three times more than what Carlson was making at Fox News.
Other Job Offers for Carlson
OAN is not the only network interested in Carlson. Former Fox News host and founder of The Blaze, Glenn Beck, also offered Carlson a job.
Beck stated, “We would love to have you here. You won’t miss a beat. And together, the two of us will tear it up. Just tear it up.” He also noted that the move would end up hurting Fox News more than Carlson.
Meanwhile, angry subscribers to Fox Nation began dropping their subscriptions after Carlson’s departure.
Fox News released a statement on Monday, stating that they have agreed to part ways with Carlson and thanking him for his service to the network.
