One officer dead, another shot in Missouri as search continues for armed suspect

Police in Missouri are searching for out a suspect after two officers had been shot on Sunday night time, one fatally.
The Missouri State Freeway Patrol is looking for 35-year-old Kenneth Lee Simpson in reference to the taking pictures.

Hours after sending out a blue alert on Sunday night, the MSHP revealed within the early hours of Monday morning that one of many shot officers had succumbed to his accidents.
Blue alerts are used within the state to rapidly inform the general public about “violent offenders who have killed, seriously injured, or pose an imminent and credible threat to law enforcement.”
The deceased officer was Hermann Police Division Detective Sgt. Mason Griffith.

The extra officer is in “serious but stable condition.”
In keeping with MSHP Troop F, Simpson is armed with an “unknown type of firearm” and was touring in an unknown route.
He’s reported as sporting a black hat, darkish pants, a black long-sleeve shirt, and tan boots. In keeping with the alert, he’s a white man with purple hair and hazel eyes and stands at about 5 toes, 10 inches tall.
Simpson’s car is a black 2014 Jeep Wrangler, per the alert.

On Monday, MSHP Troop F stated that “Information developed overnight indicating the suspect was possibly in a home on MO 19 in Hermann.”
