California Congressman Doug LaMalfa has introduced a new federal bill called the Prohibiting Parental Secrecy Policies in Schools Act or HR 1585. This bill aims to withhold federal funding from schools that permit students to undergo secret gender transitioning without their parents’ knowledge. Aurora Regino, a mother whose daughter was directly impacted by this school secrecy policy, filed a lawsuit to ensure that other children don’t face similar difficulties. According to Aurora, this policy caused harm to her daughter.

Aurora Regino’s daughter was directly affected by the school secrecy policy which Aurora claims caused harm to her daughter. This inspired her to file a lawsuit in order to ensure that other children don’t have to experience the same harm.
