Orange County 4-H Recognizes Young Members for Achievements
Orange County 4-H recently held its annual achievement ceremony on Oct. 28, where about a dozen young members were honored for their hard work and progress over the past year. The event was filled with excitement and celebration as these dedicated individuals were acknowledged for their outstanding projects and contributions to the community.
In her opening remarks, Lucy Joyce, the Executive Director of Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County, congratulated the awardees and expressed gratitude for their leadership, community service, and efforts in promoting 4-H in the county.
4-H, sponsored by Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County, is a local program that focuses on wholesome youth development through hands-on learning and public presentation experiences. It aims to provide young individuals with valuable skills and opportunities for personal growth.

Hannah Wieboldt, a 14-year-old member, received multiple awards including the progression award, service award, STEM award, and the highest-level recognition in individual achievement. To earn this prestigious honor, Hannah completed 10 projects from various interest areas, dedicated 25 hours to community service, and participated in county-level presentations.
