Oregon High School Parents Livid After Discovering Health Teacher Assigned Students To Share Sexual Fantasies
An Oregon High school parents are angry after discovering that a teacher in health asked students to write sex fantasy stories and note the initials for a woman or man next to the sexual activities.
Local television news station first reported the story KEZI Eugene parent revealed the assignment through a screenshot posted on Facebook. Students at Churchill High School were then asked to respond. “write a short story of a paragraph or two […about] a sexual fantasy that will have NO penetration of any kind or oral sex (no way of passing an STI).”
According to The Oregonian, Kirk Miller, health teacher and football coach, gave the assignment to students taking Churchill’s Health 2 – Human Sexuality course, which directs the class to show that minors could “receive loving affection without having sex” While choosing three items to tell the story.
This could include: “romantic music, candles, massage oil, feather, feather boa, flavored syrup, etc.”
Churchill High School students in Eugene were required to write about a sexual fantasy in detail and give it to their teacher. This is part of a state-wide curriculum called “Our Whole Lives.” I think there’s a word for this…? https://t.co/CZ4DZItOHG pic.twitter.com/BSdsRCcJE8

Within an hour of the screenshot’s release on social media, hundreds of comments flood the post.
“This is so inappropriate,” One post has been read. “Does he still have a job?”
Another parent was furious at the idea that an adult male teacher wanted to ask their daughter about her sexual fantasies.
“I would be livid and be going to the police,” It was a comment. “No teacher has any business asking this of a child.”
Katherine Rogers’ 16-year-old daughter, Katherine, attended the high school, but she was not in class. The Oregonian learned that Miller had given students another assignment to encourage bisexuality. “With Whom Would You Do It?”
The course required students to first males and women that they were studying. “would do each activity with,” These were sexual in nature, like oral sex and kissing.
“You may use the same person for multiple activities,” The assignment was completed.
Rogers stated that students felt the same way as Rogers. “mortified, awkward, and creeped out” By the assignments.
Rogers explained that some students have used the assignment because they were uncomfortable. “Kung Fu Panda” To avoid being too personal, characters should be used in their responses.
“So while we are teaching our daughter to abstain from sex, her high school health teacher is asking her to pick out sexual partners and swing both ways,” One mother shared her story with The Epoch Times.
Missy Cole, Churchill High School principal, sent an email to parents last week informing them that Eugene school district officials and school officials were reviewing the high school’s health curriculum. It is called Our Whole Lives and was developed by the Unitarian Universalist Association.
“At this time, the assignment has been removed from the class syllabus and will not be a part of students’ grades,” According to The Epoch Times, Cole wrote. “The Our Whole Lives curriculum is utilized by many districts across the state and is endorsed by the Oregon Department of Education.”
Peter Rudy, a spokesperson from the Oregon Department of Education told The Oregonian last Wednesday that the state does not recommend the curriculum for high-school health courses.
Rudy informed the outlet that Oregon school boards could choose from curriculums not listed in the state’s recommended materials. They don’t have to notify Oregon Department of Education. He said that the state officials do not have to monitor what curriculum choices are made by districts.
The Epoch Times According to reports, Oregon schools lost 34,000 pupils and rank 41st nationally in education.
Mackensey Pulliam, Oregon Moms Union, told The Epoch Times via email that such learning materials do not belong in schools.
“The Oregon education system is failing our kids with less than 45 percent reading at grade level and less than 32 percent able to do math at grade level,” Pulliam. “We need to be focusing on academics and catching our kids up on years of pandemic-related learning loss. The purpose of our schools is to set students up for success as they enter the workforce or higher education, not to teach them about sexual fantasies.”
