The epoch times

More than 50% of new FBI form on Biden bribe allegations is redacted, says Rep. Comer.

Over 50% of New Form on Biden’s Family Business Allegations Redacted, Says House Oversight Chairman

House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) revealed that a significant portion of a new form regarding allegations about President Joe Biden’s family business dealings and potential bribes was redacted.

The FD-1023 form, used by the FBI to record allegations about potential criminal activity, contained evidence suggesting that the president accepted millions of dollars as a bribe from a foreign national. Republicans are investigating these allegations, concerned that Biden may have used his influence as vice president to assist his family’s business dealings.

On June 20, Comer visited the House sensitive compartmented information facility (SCIF) to see another FD-1023 form related to the allegations against Biden and his family. However, he discovered that over 50% of the documents were redacted, making it difficult to gather any substantial information.

Comer expressed concerns that federal law enforcement was withholding information from Republicans, as the document he saw was dated 2017, while earlier forms referenced others from 2018 that remain hidden.

FD-1023 forms have been a point of contention between Comer and FBI Director Christopher Wray. Initially, Wray refused to let Congress see the document, but after facing potential contempt of Congress proceedings, he allowed Comer and other committee members to view it.

When asked about the possibility of restarting contempt proceedings if the 2018 document is not produced, Comer remained noncommittal, stating that the heavily redacted documents provided so far were insufficient.

Ranking Member Dismisses Document, Alleges Political Motives

Ranking Member Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), Comer’s Democratic counterpart on the panel, dismissed the contents of the document as “non-relevant” and claimed that the investigation into Biden’s bribery charges was politically motivated.

Raskin accused Republicans of using these allegations to shield President Donald Trump, who is currently facing criminal charges. He argued that the original FD-1023 contained double hearsay from a Ukrainian oligarch, suggesting that the investigation lacked credibility.
