The House Oversight Committee Investigates Biden’s Classified Documents

The House Oversight Committee, led by Chairman James Comer, has turned ⁣its investigative gaze towards the classified documents related to President Joe Biden and his family’s foreign business dealings. Comer is demanding answers from‌ Special Counsel ‌Robert Hur regarding‌ whether Biden retained ⁢these sensitive⁤ documents.

“The Committee is concerned that President Biden may have retained sensitive ⁢documents related to ⁣specific countries involving his family’s⁣ foreign business,” Comer wrote in a letter to Hur.

John Ullyot, former chief spokesperson for ‌the National Security Council‌ and 2016 senior ⁣advisor to former⁢ President Donald Trump, emphasized the ⁢national security implications of these questions that ⁢need to ⁢be answered.

“What happened was if these documents are, let’s⁤ say, ⁢related to China,⁤ related to ⁣Ukraine, or related to any decision making on national security policy,” Ullyot⁤ told ‌ One America News. “Then that would be a big problem, because that would suggest that this⁢ is ⁣information that could have been disclosed to those partners overseas.”

Comer previously‌ announced significant evidence suggesting⁣ that the ⁢Biden legal team⁣ was not ⁤truthful and transparent about the timeline of events. Biden’s‍ personal attorney, Bob⁤ Bauer,‌ claimed they “unexpectedly discovered” the sensitive materials at the Penn Biden Center on November 2, 2022. However, the Oversight Committee argues that the ⁣timeline actually began in March 2021 and involved at least five⁣ White⁣ House employees.

“The Committee‌ seeks information to understand why President Biden ‍used ‍significant federal resources, including five White House employees and a Department of Defense employee, to access and secure what were purportedly personal items of President‌ Biden at Penn ⁤Biden Center,” Comer wrote in an additional letter.

Ullyot emphasized that⁤ if the Oversight Committee’s allegations are true, the behavior from ⁣the Biden legal team is “unacceptable.”

“It’s⁢ something that is absolutely ⁣unacceptable,” Ullyot said.

“What happened to those documents in that ⁣year ‌and ⁤a half before they were actually turned over to the FBI,” Ullyot asked. “This was the⁤ Penn Biden Center, which is 100% funded by ‍the ‍Chinese. And so the Chinese had access, among others, to this ⁣complete trove of documents that was ‍held there on 101 Constitution Avenue. ‌So⁤ it’s absolutely unacceptable, and it’s something that’s a grave national security risk.”

Comer is asking Hur to provide the committee with a‌ copy of the⁣ report from his interview with Biden regarding the ‍classified documents. They are also seeking a list of countries ⁢and individuals mentioned in any recovered documents with classification markings, as well as the actual classified documents themselves.

“We need to make sure that the American people see this for what it is,” Ullyot said. ⁣“Which is a grave national ⁣security threat‌ and evidence of direct⁢ lying to the⁣ American people from Joe Biden and his minions.”

What specific concerns ⁤does the House Oversight Committee have regarding President Biden’s possession of classified ‍documents related to his family’s⁣ foreign business dealings?

The House Oversight Committee Investigates‍ Biden’s Classified Documents

The ⁢House Oversight ⁤Committee, under the leadership of Chairman James Comer, has recently shifted ‌its focus to the examination of ‌classified documents related to President Joe Biden and his family’s foreign business dealings. Comer and his committee are demanding answers from Special Counsel Robert ‌Hur regarding whether President Biden has‌ retained possession of these‍ sensitive documents.

In a letter ⁣addressed ⁣to Hur, Comer stated, “The Committee ⁢is concerned ‍that President Biden may have retained sensitive documents⁢ related to specific countries involving his family’s⁣ foreign business.” ⁤The ⁢implications of⁣ these documents with‍ regards to⁢ national security are ⁢significant and require thorough investigation.

John Ullyot, former chief spokesperson for⁣ the National Security⁣ Council and 2016 senior advisor to former President Donald Trump, has stressed the importance of addressing these questions‍ surrounding the classified documents. Ullyot ⁤emphasized, “What happened was if these documents are, let’s say, related to China, related to Ukraine, or‍ related to‍ any decision-making on national security policy, then that would be a ‍big problem because that would suggest that this is information that could have been disclosed‌ to⁢ those partners overseas.”

Comer has previously‌ announced substantial evidence suggesting that the Biden legal team‌ was not truthful and transparent about the timeline of events regarding these documents. Biden’s personal attorney, Bob Bauer, claimed they “unexpectedly discovered” the sensitive‍ materials at⁣ the Penn ‍Biden Center on November 2, 2022. However, the Oversight Committee argues that the timeline actually began in March 2021 and involved at least five White ⁤House employees.

“The Committee seeks information to understand why President Biden used significant federal resources, including five White House employees and‍ a Department of Defense employee, to access and secure what were purportedly personal items of President ⁤Biden at Penn Biden Center,” wrote Comer in an additional letter.

Ullyot ‍expressed his concern, stating that if the Oversight Committee’s allegations are true, the behavior from ‍the Biden legal team is “unacceptable.” He further questioned⁣ the fate of these documents ‍prior ‍to their delivery to the FBI,⁣ as they were stored at the Penn Biden Center, funded by the Chinese government. This raises serious national security risks.

Comer is requesting Hur to provide the⁤ committee with a copy of the report from his interview with President Biden regarding the classified documents. They are also⁢ seeking a list ‌of countries and individuals mentioned in any⁣ recovered documents with classification markings, as well as access to the actual classified documents themselves.

Ullyot ‌concluded by saying, “We need to make ‍sure that⁤ the American people see this for what it is, which is a grave national security threat.”

The investigation into President Biden’s ⁣classified documents is a crucial matter that warrants a thorough ⁢examination ⁣to safeguard our national security and⁣ maintain transparency. The House Oversight Committee’s commitment ‍to finding the truth and addressing potential risks is ⁣commendable, and the‍ results of‍ their investigation will undoubtedly have a ‌significant impact on the political landscape.
