House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) barred Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL) from further participation in a disorderly Oversight meeting after the latter repeatedly hurled insults about President Donald Trump and Elon Musk.

On Tuesday, Frost repeatedly denigrated Trump and Musk, referring to the president as the “grifter-in-chief” and the latter as the president. Reps. Nancy Mace (R-SC) and Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) could be heard interjecting before Comer cut them off.

After struggling to regain control of proceedings, Comer barred Frost from further participation. Frost derided the committee as “despicable” and claimed it was trying to “silence” him.

“Mr. Ranking Member, I’m going to have the sergeant-at-arms remove him if he doesn’t refrain,” Comer said.

Frost remained defiant after the meeting concluded, venting his frustrations on X.

“Chair Comer just threaten [sic] to have the House Sergeant of Arms forcibly remove me from the Oversight Committee for calling out Grifter-in-Chief Trump for corruption and making money off of the American people,” he said.

“I kept speaking anyways. I won’t let these Elon & Trump sycophants stop me from telling the truth. Right after winning the election, Trump created a meme coin to grift off of the American people yet they want to focus on cutting Medicaid for kids,” Frost added.

Mace described Frost as “Unhinged.”

“I fear Trump Derangement Syndrome may be terminal,” she wrote in a post on X. “You should be LISTENING to the Left go off the rails at our Oversight right now – over Trump and Musk identifying waste, fraud and abuse. These people are totally unhinged. It’s weird.”
