Pandemic Origins Subcommittee Suggests Fauci Prompted Doctors To Draft Paper To ‘Disprove’ Lab Leak Theory

Bipartisan members of Congress investigate the history and origins COVID The federal government gained function research, so a Sunday memo was issued claiming that new evidence supports Dr. Anthony Fauci. “prompted the drafting” of ‘Proximal Origins’ to disprove the lab leak theory.

According to the GOP-led Select Subcommittee on Coronavirus Pandemic Members, Fauci and 12 others, which includes Dr. Francis Collins of National Institute of Health, were warned that the virus could have leaked from Wuhan’s lab during a conference call in the first days of the pandemic.

On February 4, 2020 — three days after the call —the memo suggested that four conference call participants who authored “The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2” Fauci and Collins were able to review and approve the draft before Nature Medicine published it.

“The evidence available to the Select Subcommittee suggests that Dr. Anthony Fauci ‘prompted’ Dr. Kristian Andersen, Professor, Scripps Research (Scripps), to write Proximal Origin and that the goal was to ‘disprove’ any lab leak theory,” The memo reads.

Anderson’s article was published in Nature on March 20, 2020. The Subcommittee alleges that Anderson sent a letter to Nature stating, “there has been a lot of speculation, fear mongering, and conspiracies put forward in this space and we thought that bringing some clarity to this discussion might be of interest to Nature.”

“Prompted by Jeremy Farrah [sic], Tony Fauci, and Francis Collins, Eddie Holmes, Andrew Rambaut, Bob Garry, Ian Lipkin, and myself have been working through much of the (primarily) genetic data to provide agnostic and scientifically informed hypothesis around the origins of the virus,” A February 12, 2020 email from Andersen to Nature.

Based on the evidence that the Select Subcommittee provided, Andersen is proven to be innocent. “privately” Anderson did not believe that the narrative of pangolin sequences data proved a laboratory leak theory, despite publicly stating so. And while Nature Medicine peer-reviewed ‘Proximal Origin’ more than a year earlier, Anderson did not find the pangolin data compelling.

“Dr. Collins emailed Dr. Fauci expressing dismay that Proximal Origin—which they saw prior to publication and were given the opportunity to edit—did not squash the lab leak hypothesis and asks if the NIH can do more to ‘put down’ the lab leak hypothesis,” The memo says. “The next day—after Dr.Collins explicitly asked for more public pressure—Dr. Fauci cited Proximal Origin from the White House podium when asked if COVID-19 leaked from a lab.”

Andersen claimed in an August 2021 correspondence that he was still alive. “objectively weighed all of the evidence available to him while investigating the origins of the virus, lawmakers argue a previous email from Andersen deems the assertion as “It is demonstrably false.”

“Our main work over the last couple of weeks has been focused on trying to disprove any type of lab theory…,” According to the memo, Andersen sent him an email on February 8, 2020.

Not redacted email exchanges Fauci and Dr. Peter Daszak of EcoHealth Alliance showed that Daszak had been working alongside Chinese virologists from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Further evidence suggests the virus was leaked from their lab.

After the memo, U.S. Department of Energy officials A document which was previously judged has been revised “low confidence” The Wall Street Journal reported that the virus leaked from an Chinese laboratory.

Recent classified intelligence provided by the White House to key congressional members showed that Energy Department officials changed their assessments of the origins of the pandemic in an updated 2021 Report prepared by Avril Haines’s Office, Director of National Intelligence. This updated classified report confirms that COVID didn’t stem from any biological weapons program. Researchers and U.S. officials suspect that there was a leak in Wuhan’s laboratory assemblage, The Journal reported.

Christopher Wray, FBI Director, also stated that COVID was most likely a result of leakage from Wuhan’s lab.

The National Intelligence Council (NIC) and four other agencies. Journal claims that officials are refusing to identify them. still believe With “low confidence” In the natural emergence theory. Two other agencies, including the Central Intelligence Agency, have not yet made any determination.
