Passenger dies in South Pasadena home crash.

A Tragic Accident in South Pasadena

A passenger‍ in the backseat of a‌ vehicle met a‌ tragic end ‌on the morning of Aug. 12 when the vehicle crashed into a ‌garage at a home in South ⁤Pasadena,‍ according to authorities.

“The impact was significant enough ⁤to push a vehicle ​parked in ​the garage through the back wall,” said Sgt. Craig Phillips of the South​ Pasadena Police Department.

Reports indicate that a silver ​2020 ⁤Infiniti, driven by 21-year-old Sun Valley resident David Silva, was speeding southbound on Orange Grove Avenue and approaching Oliver Street at 1:51 a.m. on Saturday when the car veered into ⁤a residential ⁣garage in the 300 block of Orange⁢ Grove Avenue.

Emergency responders ​swiftly​ transported Silva and the‌ front-seat passenger to a hospital,‌ both with moderate to severe injuries. Tragically, the backseat passenger sustained major‌ injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Fortunately, no‌ one inside the home was ‍harmed during the incident.
