Paul Pelosi Attack Body Cam Footage to Be Released Due to Court Order
A San Francisco Judge has ordered police to capture body cam footage from an October attack Paul Pelosi be released.
After a group of news outlets, the order is issued filed A motion was made to release the footage on January 11. The coalition also included outlets like Fox News, The Washington Post, The New York Times and Fox News.

“[T]he public and press have standing to assert their rights of access to court records and proceedings,” The coalition made arguments in court.
According to court records, the footage from the body camera was played in December. It showed Pelosi struck with a hammer.
Pelosi, the husband of Nancy Pelosi (D–CA), was attacked by a nudist militant on October 28th. He broke into Pelosi’s home to kidnap Nancy, the prosecutors stated in a pretrial hearing. According to prosecutors, 42-year-old David DePape attacked Paul Pelosi, after he was unable to find his wife.
DePape pleaded He is not guilty of all charges. This includes both state and federal. He is scheduled to appear before the state court on February 23 in order to set a date for trial. He is currently in prison without bail.
According to authorities, the attacker entered the Pelosi residence at around 2:30 AM local time the night before the attack. Pelosi and an assailant were seen fighting over a hammer. Police then saw the attacker. “violently assault” Pelosi, the police said.
Pelosi was treated in a hospital following the attack. “successful surgery to repair a skull fracture and serious injuries to his right arm and hands,” Nancy Pelosi’s spokesperson said that at the time.
DePape broke into the home shouting “Where’s Nancy?” An affidavit from the court.
DePape informed first responders on the scene that he was sick from the “level of lies” Politicians in Washington, D.C. “came here to have a little chat with [Paul Pelosi’s] wife,” According to a court filing.
“I didn’t really want to hurt him, but you know this was a suicide mission. I’m not going to stand here and do nothing even if it cost me my life,” According to the filing, DePape claimed.
DePape was alleged to have also planned to target other prominent figures. Police said DePape intended to target President Joe Biden’s son Hunter, California Governor Gavin Newsom, and actor Tom Hanks.
