Paul Reubens, ‌the beloved‍ comedian and actor famous for⁣ his iconic role as Pee-wee ⁤Herman in the 1980s, has sadly passed away at the age of 70 after battling cancer.

Reubens began his career in the 1970s as ⁣part of ⁢the renowned Los Angeles-based improvisational comedy team, The Groundlings. It was during one of his improvisational performances that the character of ⁢Pee-wee ⁣Herman ‌was born. Pee-wee made his television debut ⁢on the show⁣ The ⁤Dating Game and‍ later became ​the star of his own show, Pee-wee’s Playhouse. Reubens also⁤ appeared in various films, including the cult classic Pee-wee’s Big Adventure and‌ Buffy ⁤the⁣ Vampire Slayer.
