Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi claims that Joe Biden will be the defender of American freedom if he is re-elected as president in November.
During an interview on Thursday, the California Democrat expressed confidence that Biden will protect taxpayer-funded healthcare and abortion procedures.
Pelosi (D-Calif.) compared Biden’s performance to that of Donald Trump without mentioning the former president’s name. She portrayed Trump as a significant threat to democracy.
When asked about Colorado and Maine’s decision to remove Trump from the ballot, Pelosi refrained from commenting, stating that it is a matter of states’ rights.
“That’s up to the states,” the Democrat said. “I won’t go into the courts and the laws and all of that, different states have different laws.”
Pelosi further emphasized that the Biden campaign’s focus is on “kitchen table issues.”
“[Biden’s] message is about what we need to do as we go forward,” Pelosi said. “The kitchen table issues are our motivation and our mobilization.”
