Pence’s ‘Rookie’ Attack Draws Overwhelming Boos During Heated Clash with Vivek Ramaswamy

Former Vice President Mike Pence Booed During Republican Primary Debate

During the Fox News’⁢ Republican primary debate in ‍Milwaukee, former⁢ Vice President‍ Mike‍ Pence faced boos from the crowd after ⁤he referred⁣ to candidate Vivek Ramaswamy as a “rookie.”

Ramaswamy, who had previously expressed his plans to unleash America’s energy sector to drive down prices, made this⁣ declaration in response to‌ Pence’s comments about inflation. He also vowed to declare “war” against the “federal administrative state.”

The ‌exchange between Pence and Ramaswamy ⁤escalated‍ as they traded remarks. Pence, highlighting his experience as a House conservative leader, attacked President‍ Joe Biden’s handling of the ⁣economy and criticized Ramaswamy’s age and background⁣ in the private sector.

“Joe Biden has weakened this country at home and abroad,” Pence stated. “Now is not the time for on-the-job ‌training. We ‍don’t ‌need to bring ‍in a rookie…”

Pence’s response was met with boos from the crowd ‌and interjections ⁢from⁣ other candidates, indicating ‍a ⁤heated atmosphere during the debate. However, Pence was not the only one to face disapproval. Former New Jersey⁢ Gov. Chris ‍Christie and former Gov. Asa Hutchinson‍ were also booed by ⁢the audience at‌ the beginning of the debate.

Ramaswamy himself faced boos after he claimed to be the only candidate on the stage who was not ”bought and paid for.”

Former President Donald Trump ‍opted not to participate in the debate and instead had a ‍prerecorded interview with Tucker Carlson.
