A man from Pennsylvania has been detained after he reportedly murdered his father and then posted a gruesome video to YouTube of his decapitated head.
On Wednesday, Justin Mohn of Levittown, Pennsylvania, was arrested after he killed his father. After the murder, he shared a disturbing video on YouTube in which he held up a decapitated head and shouted different “conspiracy theories.”
According to court documents, at about 4 a.m., Mohn, 32, was arraigned on charges of murder in the first degree, abuse of a corpse, and possession of an instrument of a crime.
The Middletown Township Police Department reported that he was accused of murdering his father, whose name is Michael Mohn. Michael was believed to have been 68-years-old.
A police complaint cited a YouTube video that was titled “Mohn’s Militia – Call To Arms For American Patriots,” in which Justin is seen holding his father’s head in a plastic bag while wearing gloves. The head appears in a cooking pot later on.
In the video, Justin said that his father worked for the federal government for 20 years. He also called for the execution of all federal employees and criticized the administration of President Joe Biden, the Black Lives Matter movement, the LGBTQ community, and Antifa activists.
A few hours after the video was uploaded, the over 14-minute video was taken down by YouTube.
According to a statement provided by a YouTube spokesperson, the video was deleted due to its “strict policies prohibiting graphic violence and violent extremism.”
YouTube censoring teams are now keeping an eye on Justin’s deactivated YouTube channel in order to see if “any other accounts are re-uploading the video.”
“The video was removed for violating our graphic violence policy and Justin Mohn’s channel was terminated in line with our violent extremism policies. Our teams are closely tracking to remove any re-uploads of the video,” the statement read.
Michael’s body was discovered by police in the first-floor restroom of the family’s house, covered in a pool of blood. According to police, his head had been cut off from his body and was discovered inside a cooking pot in a bedroom next to the restroom.
At 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, when both men were at home, Denice, Justin’s mother, left the house to run errands.
Denice told officers that upon her return on Tuesday night, both her son and her husband’s Toyota Corolla were gone. However, she saw blood on the floor and then quickly called authorities out of fear. Police quickly responded to the call.
According to the Bucks County District Attorney’s office, Justin had fled in his father’s vehicle, was later found, and then taken into custody a few hours after. Justin was taken into custody in the vicinity of a National Guard training facility in Fort Indiantown Gap, approximately 100 miles distant, as reported by Middletown Township Police Lt. Pete Feeney.
Feeney stated that although Justin’s reason for fleeing to that area is unknown, police were able to find him by using his cellphone data.
However, authorities said that they are still looking into the matter and will provide more details as they become available. Additionally, Feeney said that there are a lot of unresolved issues and Justin is communicating with police.
Middletown Township Detective Lt. Stephen Forman mentioned that police had some previous encounters with Justin, some as long ago as 10 years ago and even “a few that are more recent.”
Justin has been refused bail. An initial hearing is scheduled for February 8th.
This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
