Pentagon Releases Image of Chinese Spy Balloon Snapped from U.S. Spy Plane
THe Pentagon Released a photo taken from a cockpit of an American Air Force plane U-2 spy plane February 3, 2009 – The suspected Chinese spy balloon This month, it fell earlier.
At Wednesday’s press conference, Sabrina Singh, a Deputy Pentagon spokesperson, confirmed that the photo was authentic. The balloon in this photo was the first spy plane to travel across the United States over multiple days before being downed. The U.S. also shot down three unidentified flying objects after it was shot off South Carolina’s coast.

The shadow of the aircraft is visible on the balloon. The U-2 is the only aircraft capable of flying above the balloon’s reported height, which was around 60,000 feet.
Singh also confirmed that “the majority of the balloon, including the payload was recovered” in the subsequent salvaging operations.

Operation to recover the first Chinese spy balloon that was shot down by China was Conclusion Friday. Officials said that recovering the three other objects downed will prove difficult because they were shot in remote territory. They were off the coast of Alaska, near the Arctic Circle, in Canadian Rockies in Yukon and over Lake Huron.
