Israeli police used water cannons to disperse demonstrators protesting against the COVID vaccine. Hundreds protested near Israeli Prime Minster Naftali Bennett’s house Saturday night, where several were later hosed, whipped and arrested.

Thousands have long protested against the country’s so-called “Green Pass,” giving only those who are vaccinated the ability to enter certain businesses and events.

“We don’t want to get shots and we don’t want to be pressured, and we don’t want to have sanctions, that’s all. They should give us the freedom that we deserve,” said one protestor. “We were born free people and we chose a government that should make us feel good and not one that will control us and do us harm.”

The country’s Public Security minister held a meeting with it’s top authorities following reports of how officers dealt with the incident. Meanwhile, protests have continued for weeks as Israel has continued its attempts to slow the virus’ spread.
